Been let down by a consultant? Tell us.
Any student, parent, or client can lodge a complaint against an education or immigration consultant — no account needed. Every complaint goes to AFEIC Pakistan's Complaints & Grievance Redressal Committee, and you can follow it from submission to decision.
Lodge a new complaint
Takes about five minutes. Attach your agreement, receipts, or messages as evidence. You will get a reference number immediately.
Start nowTrack your complaint
Enter your reference number and the email you filed with to see exactly where your case stands and what the Committee has done.
Check statusHow your complaint is handled
A fair process cuts both ways: you get a documented hearing, and the consultant gets a proper chance to answer before the Committee decides anything.
You submit
Fill the form with what happened and attach your evidence. You receive a reference number on the spot.
Committee reviews
The Complaints & Grievance Redressal Committee checks the facts and confirms whether the firm falls under AFEIC jurisdiction.
Consultant answers
If the firm is an AFEIC member, the complaint is formally put to them with a deadline to respond in writing.
Decision recorded
The Committee weighs both sides, records a written decision, and you can read the outcome against your reference number.
What AFEIC can do
- Require an AFEIC-certified member to answer your complaint in writing
- Mediate between you and the consultancy to recover fees or documents
- Rule on breaches of the AFEIC Code of Conduct
- Impose warnings, conditions, suspension, or cancellation of membership
- Keep a permanent record of the case and its outcome
What AFEIC cannot do
- Act as a court or order anyone to pay damages
- Overturn a visa refusal or an admission decision by a university or embassy
- Take disciplinary action against a firm that is not an AFEIC member
- Give you legal representation or legal advice
- Investigate a criminal offence — that is for the police and the FIA
A complaint against a non-member is still recorded, and it still tells us where the problems are — but AFEIC has no authority to discipline a firm that never agreed to its Code of Conduct.
What you can complain about
Misrepresentation of admission or visa outcome
You were promised an admission, scholarship, or visa result that was never realistic or never delivered.
Service fee dispute or refund not returned
A refund was agreed or due under your service agreement and has not been paid back.
Tuition, hostel, or visa fee collected by the consultant
AFEIC guidance is clear: tuition, hostel, and visa fees must be paid directly to the institution or mission, never to an agent.
Original documents withheld
Your original degrees, transcripts, passport, or certificates have not been returned to you.
Forged, altered, or fabricated documents
Documents were submitted on your behalf that you did not provide or that were changed without your knowledge.
No service delivered after payment
You paid for a service and the consultant stopped working on your case.
Unregistered sub-agent or false AFEIC claim
Someone claimed AFEIC certification or acted as a sub-agent without authorisation.
No response or poor communication
The consultant has stopped responding to your calls, emails, or messages.
Professional misconduct or unethical behaviour
Conduct that breaches the AFEIC Code of Conduct.
Something else? Choose Other on the form and describe it in your own words.
Before you file — how your information is used
- Your complaint is not published on this website. It is read by the Complaints & Grievance Redressal Committee and by the consultant you have named.
- The consultant is shown your complaint so they can answer it. You may ask us to withhold your name from them, though this can limit what they are able to investigate.
- Keep your reference number safe — it is how you check your case.
- Knowingly filing a false complaint is a serious matter and may itself be actionable.
The best complaint is the one you never have to file
AFEIC-certified consultants sign a Code of Conduct and answer to this Committee. Check that your consultant is certified before you pay anyone anything.
